Well-carved alabaster reproduction of "Lo Spinario" - an iconic antique statue of the young boy seated on a rock shown in deep concentration whilst engaged in removing a thorn from the sole of his foot. The original statue is a Greco-Roman Hellenistic bronze which is housed in teh Capitoline Museum in Rome. Height is approximately 7". Marked A SANTINI and FED ELINO
